A woman was shot in an early-afternoon incident in Southeast D.C. on Monday, police said.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting on the 3400 block of 13th Place SE and found a woman who had been grazed by a bullet and was conscious and breathing, they said.

D.C. police are searching for a gray or silver four-door Mercury Sable with tinted windows in connection with the shooting, they said. They couldn't comment on a potential motive and didn't have a description of the suspect.
