A 20-year-old Lorton woman reported to police that she was pulled into a vehicle by a stranger and assaulted as she was driven to Prince William County on Wednesday, Fairfax County police said.

The woman told authorities she was walking on Route 1 near Woodside Lane at about 3:20 p.m. when a man in a vehicle yelled to her. She approached the car and the man grabbed her and pulled her inside, police said.

Police said the man drove south on Route 1 and fondled the woman while driving. In Woodbridge, the woman escaped from the car and fled. The suspect drove away.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 30s who is tall and has a medium build. The vehicle was a dark four-door sedan.
