An employee at a taxi company hired by Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren said he had "no comment" on the assault on a Republican staffer committed by the Massachusetts Democrat's driver.
The company, Martha's Vineyard Taxi, appears to have rented the car to the Warren campaign as evidenced by the web address, mvtaxi.com, displayed on the car in the video shot by the Republican party staff member. When contacted by THE WEEKLY STANDARD, an employee at Martha's Vineyard Taxi who did not identify himself repeatedly said he had "no comment." Asked who the driver was, the employee said, "We have no comment on that."
Warren spokeswoman Julie Edwards told TWS earlier today that the driver was "not a member of the Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts staff" and that he is "a cab driver." The Warren campaign has yet to confirm if the driver was employed by Martha's Vineyard Taxi.
