AP reports that Newt Gingrich is "considering a presidential run" and "expects to make a decision by early next year."

Hmmm. It's worth bearing in mind Gingrich's advice to Mitch Daniels, as reported in Andrew Ferguson's profile of Daniels early last month. According to Daniels, "Newt told me, look, quit saying you're not going to do this [i.e., run for president]. If you don’t run, you don’t run. But say you’re leaving the door open, and the national press will pay a lot more attention to your viewpoint.”
