Tampa
Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, a Democrat who is here to go on the counterattack at the Republican convention, claimed this morning at a press conference to be in the city, "putting the health and safety of the people in front of the storm first and foremost."

"Let me being by saying that, we have, for over the last 24-hours here in Tampa that our hearts and prayers are with the people along the Gulf Coast, and as much as we are here to compare and contrast, we're also here to say that Democrats and Republicans, locally, at the state level, and at the federal level, are all working together, putting the health and safety of the people in front of the storm first and foremost."

Villaraigosa then went on to attack Mitt Romney.
