President Trump is speaking at a “Make America Great Again” rally in Cincinnati, Ohio to campaign for U.S. Rep. Steve Chabot, who is locked in a bitter battle with Democratic rival Aftab Pureval, and U.S. Rep. Jim Renacci, who's running for Senate against Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown.
Trump's visit is part of his ongoing tour of the country — involving stops in six states over 10 days to energize voters to back Republicans in tight races for the House of Representatives.
Trump’s rally comes the same week as Hurricane Michael slammed the state of Florida. The storm was one of the strongest ever to hit the U.S. coastline, and is being blamed for 13 deaths from Florida to Virginia.
“FEMA, first responders, law enforcement, they're all really on it,” Trump said of his administration’s response to Michael. “I know how tough it's been, but we're with you 100 percent. It's all getting done, and it's getting done rapidly and correctly."
