Vice President Joe Biden was in for a surprise Tuesday during his visit to Serbia's capital city, Belgrade. Hundreds of members of the country's nationalist Radical Party showed up at the presidential building, sporting T-shirts and signs and chanting support for Republican nominee Donald Trump.

"Vote for Trump! Vote for Trump!" the protesters yelled in unison, according to multiple reports. Their shirts and signs were decked out in matching images of the billionaire businessman's face.

Biden was meeting with national leaders in a different part of the city in a bid to improve diplomatic relations between Serbia and Kosovo. Serbia has not recognized Kosovo as its own nation since the latter declared its independence in 2008, prompting national disputes about the country's ability to divide itself.

Founder of the far-right Radical Party, Vojislav Seselj, told supporters in November he approved of Trump. The party is the third-largest national political group.

"Trump is the alternative to globalization. He will destroy old centers of power in the United States and he is a supporter of Russia," Seselj told Reuters.
