The anti-Trump hype swirling around Watergate scoop reporter Bob Woodward’s new book about the president has boosted “Fear” to Number 1 on the Amazon Top 100 list, and it won’t even be available until 9/11.

"Fear: Trump in the White House" is selling fast in pre-sales and Amazon said it is the top seller among political books and in a day where multiple outlets published explosive excerpts the book jumped from 12th place to first place in under six hours.

And the huge book seller isn’t discounting "Fear," keeping the pre-release price at $28.70.

Woodward is already planning his book tour. One of his first stops, set for September 12 in New York, is charging $60 to hear the Washington Post editor discuss his findings. He will be interviewed by Slate’s Jacob Weisberg at 92Y, a cultural center.

The center put this out Tuesday:

New York, NY: Sept 4, 2018 – Watergate journalist Bob Woodward’s new book, FEAR: Trump in the White House, announced as the most acute and penetrating portrait of a sitting president ever published during the first years of an administration, is unprecedented.

Talking with Jacob Weisberg, Bob Woodward gives a front-row-seat view of life inside Donald Trump’s White House, as revealed in his new book, FEAR: Trump in the White House. The Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, an associate editor at The Washington Post, shows how the president makes decisions on major foreign and domestic policies. Drawing from hundreds of hours of interviews with firsthand sources, contemporaneous meeting notes, files, documents and personal diaries, FEAR brings to light the most explosive debates that drive decision-making in the Oval Office, the Situation Room, Air Force One and the White House residence. It’s the inside story on President Trump as only Bob Woodward can tell it. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear first-hand as the legendary journalist sits down with the chairman and editor-in-chief of Slate.
