This week’s Liberal Media Scream features former Vice President Joe Biden, that hair kiss, and a TV host who thinks the potential 2020 Democratic presidential candidate’s handsy style is meant to "be nice.”
MSNBC Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski was reacting to a blog from Lucy Flores, the former Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor of Nevada, who charged that in 2014 Joe Biden made her feel “uneasy, gross” when he put his hands on her shoulders, sniffed her hair, and planted a "big slow kiss on the back of my head."
To some it sounds creepy. To others it’s just Biden being Biden, but not in a sexual way.
That’s where Brzezinski stands.
On Monday’s Morning Joe, instead of criticizing Biden for violating the behavior rules of the #MeToo era, Brzezinski contended he’s “extremely flirtatious in a completely safe way,” assuring viewers “I don’t think that there’s a bad intent on his part at all” since she was sure he didn’t mean “anything from it except to be nice, to be kind.”
Brzezinski on the April 1 Morning Joe:
“There’s a lot of things I know about Joe Biden. I’ve known him for a long time. He is extremely affectionate, extremely flirtatious in a completely safe way. I am sure that somebody can misconstrue something he’s done. But as much as I can know what’s in anyone’s heart, I don’t think that there’s a bad intent on his part at all. I read the account. I was like, ‘yeah, that’s Joe Biden,’ but never thought for a second that he meant anything from it except to be nice, to be kind.”

It must be nice to have a friend in the liberal media so eager to come to your defense, a benefit those accused have so far lacked. It was a nice in-kind contribution from Brzezinski and MSNBC to Biden’s expected presidential campaign.”
