Football great and philanthropist Jim Brown, who has links to many inside President Trump’s world, met with advisers Thursday from the lobbying firm K&L Gates two blocks from the White House to talk prison reform policy before his Oval Office meeting that included singer Kanye West.

Secrets learned that the former NFL running back brought on the influential K Street firm to provide advice on changing policy on prison reform and youth violence.

The firm is working with Brown for free.

Brown and his wife Monique run the Amer-I-Can program that helps inner city youths and others better themselves. His website said that the group works to “enable individuals to meet their academic potential, to conform their behavior to acceptable society standards, and to improve the quality of their lives by equipping them with the critical life management skills to confidently and successfully contribute to society.”

It held a pre-Inauguration party for the president and it was attended by several sports figures and Kimberly Guilfoyle, a family friend who is a key campaign surrogate for the president.
