Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren once again took to Twitter to tear into Donald Trump, this time over his controversial remarks over the Second Amendment.

".@realDonaldTrump makes death threats because he's a pathetic coward who can't handle the fact that he's losing to a girl," Warren said in her first tweet Tuesday afternoon.

She added moments later that Trump sounds like a "two-bit dictator."

"Your reckless comments sound like a two-bit dictator, @realDonaldTrump. Not a man who wants to lead the greatest democracy on the planet," she wrote.

The tweets from Warren come after the latest controversial comments by Trump. At a Tuesday afternoon rally in North Carolina, he accused Clinton of wanting to "abolish" the Second Amendment and then suggested gun rights activists could stop her from doing so.

"By the way, and if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks," the GOP nominee said. "Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is. I don't know."

Trump and his campaign have since defended the comments and said they have been misinterpreted. Trump was instead referring to the political power of gun rights activists and that they should get out to vote in November.

Warren, a Democrat, has been a vocal Trump critic over months, especially on Twitter.
