MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — Vermonter Lea Davison is going to be competing in the Olympic mountain biking race on a 3.1 mile course overlooking an estuary of the Thames River just east of London.

The Saturday race will last about 90 minutes. The number of laps will be announced by the judges on race day, depending on the track conditions.

Davison, of Jericho, says it's a challenging course with a lot of climbs. She says there are technical sections thrown in so whenever riders begin to recover they have to focus again on those areas.

Julie Bresset, of France, and Catharine Pendrel, of Canada, are among the favorites in the women's mountain bike race.
