D.C. Council Chairman and mayoral hopeful Vincent Gray sat down with a group of bloggers on Monday.
Excerpts of the interview on Borderstan show that Gray thinks police Chief Cathy Lanier has done an overall “positive job.”
He reportedly dodged questions about which department heads he would replace if he is elected mayor, although Schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee has all but said she’ll quit if Gray beats Mayor Adrian Fenty in the September primary.
Speaking of school and Rhee’s role in the election, Gray also reportedly told the bloggers, “How do we institutionalize education reform so that it’s not about one person? It can’t be about one person. We will continue on the path we’re on.”
Excerpts also on Greater Greater Washington.
