“Please welcome to the Republican party, former Democratic Congressman Artur Davis!” said the stage announcer at the Republican National Convention tonight.

Davis was wildly cheered by the delegates, particularly while he delivering a strong anti-Obama speech.

“Last time I spoke at a convention I was in the wrong place,” said Davis. “So Tampa, my fellow Republicans, thank you for welcoming me where I belong.”
