Prince William County police are investigating a paintball shooting at a school bus.

Police said the Prince William County school bus was traveling down Forestdale Avenue in Woodbridge at around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, when the driver heard something striking the side of the vehicle, police said. The driver did not notice any suspicious people in the area and continued to Bel Air Elementary, where two large flourescent pink paint splotches were found on the side of bus. No students were aboard the bus at the time of the shooting.

Police received several more calls and found that several parked cars, a sign and a house were struck with the same pink paint.
