A Centreville youth baseball coach who was accused of sexually abusing former players and later apprehended in Poland in August has been extradited and faces a court hearing Monday. John E. Hamilton arrived Thursday and will be arraigned Monday. He had been wanted since missing an October 2009 plea hearing.
Hamilton allegedly molested five former players between 1992 and 2008. He has been charged with aggravated sexual battery of a child, indecent liberties with a child and crimes against nature with a minor.
Ian Rodway, deputy commonwealth's attorney in Fairfax, said he didn't know whether another plea hearing would be scheduled or whether the case would go to trial.
Steven Merril, Hamilton's attorney, said he hadn't spoken to his client since Hamilton went to Europe and couldn't comment.
