Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump launched a new attack Friday against former Congressman Anthony Weiner and his wife, Huma Abedin, a top aide to Hillary Clinton.
Trump accused Abedin, a longtime Clinton adviser, of telling Weiner national secrets while she served alongside Clinton at the State Department. He also said that he never wants Weiner, who left Congress after tweeting a picture of his genitalia, to tweet at him ever.
"For her to do what she did puts our country at risk," Trump said of Clinton. "She's secretary of state, she's got people like Huma [Abedin], who's Weiner — Anthony Weiner. She's the wife of Anthony Weiner. Now how would you like Anthony Weiner to be having all of these secrets? Well guess what?! She tells Anthony Weiner everything there is."
"I know Anthony Weiner — I don't want him knowing anything folks, okay," Trump said, before attacking his Twitter habits. "And I never ever want him to tweet me, right? Does any one what him to tweet? No, I don't think so."
"She's married to Anthony Weiner!" Trump continued. "She goes home, she tells him — hey, look folks, that's the way life works. She goes home, she tells him everything. Who the hell wants that? This is not right."
Word of Trump's latest barbs got to Weiner almost immediately, who fired back with a response on Twitter, naturally.
This is not the first time Trump has gone after Weiner, who most recently lost his bid to become mayor of New York City in 2013. Back in August, Trump told a crowd in Massachusetts that Weiner is a "perv."
Weiner also re-entered the public eye in recent weeks as a new documentary was released after a camera crew followed him around during his mayoral run, which was marred with turmoil after new sexts emerged midway through his campaign.
