Donald Trump's first ad of the general election has landed, and its target is Hillary Clinton.

Rolled out Friday, the ad is part of a previously reported $4 million buy in the battleground states of Florida, Ohio, North Carolina and Pennsylvania, where he is trailing Clinton in the polls.

The 30-second ad touts how Trump will keep the country safe, and warns Clinton will do the opposite.

"In Hillary Clinton's America, the system stays rigged against Americans," a narrator says over dark music and images. "Syrian refugees flood in. Illegal immigrants convicted of committing crimes get to stay, collecting Social Security benefits, skipping the line. Our border open. It's more of the same, but worse."

The ad then shifts to upbeat music and imagery, touting "Donald Trump's America."

"Donald Trump's America is secure, terrorists and dangerous criminals kept out," the narrator says of the Republican presidential nominee. "The border secure. Our families safe. Change that makes America safe again. Donald Trump for president."

The ad concludes with the billionaire businessman giving a thumbs up wearing his "Make America Great Again" red hat. The ad will run through Aug. 29.
