LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Tropicana Las Vegas has appointed a 37-year gambling industry veteran as its new president and chief operating officer.
The company announced Thursday that Daniel M. Wade will be overseeing operations at the newly renovated resort casino.
Wade previously served as president and COO of the MGM Grand Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. He's also held leadership positions at the Desert Inn Hotel and Casino, at Harrah's both in Reno and in Atlantic City, and at the Maxim Hotel and Casino.
Most recently, he led design and development efforts for The Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas.
Wade has a degree in education from University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
The Tropicana's recent, $180 million renovation includes a redesign and new restaurants and bars.
