Just when Republicans had a night free of Todd Akin, he releases a new ad.

Akin’s new 30 second web video tries to frame his embarrassing six second mistake against Sen. Claire McCaskill’s six year record.

“My six second mistake is well known, Akin says. “But McCaskill’s six year record is something that you should know.”

The video appears fairly low budget, but certainly necessary if he believes he can patch up his reputation with Missouri voters. Unfortunately, the ad just reminds us that he believes women can’t get pregnant from “legitimate rape.”
