Second missing MoCo teen turns up in Texas The second of two area teenagers last seen on Jan. 12 was found in San Antonio on Saturday night, according to Montgomery County police.
Cole Balderson's father found him near a homeless camp behind a truck stop. Balderson, 17, and his family planned to fly back to Maryland on Sunday.
Investigators had spotted Balderson with Rachel Reilly, 16, on Thursday and they both fled on foot. Reilly was detained and has returned with her family to Maryland.
Balderson and Reilly were last seen together in Olney. Balderson's abandoned Jeep was found on Jan. 21 at a rest area on Interstate 81 in Augusta County, Va.
Both Balderson and Reilly were students at Sherwood High School in Sandy Spring.
Retired teacher slain in her car
Anne Arundel County police said on Sunday they are investigating the death of a retired teacher who was found shot in the chest in her car.
Police believe the killer was in the car with 63-year-old Myra Cason and forced her to drive to a Glen Burnie shopping center parking lot around 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning. A witness saw shattered glass in the parking lot at 8:50 a.m.
Cason was last seen leaving a doctor's office shortly before 8 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say Cason had no criminal record and belonged to a charitable sorority.
Woman found behind Gaithersburg High School
Montgomery County police found a missing North Carolina woman behind Gaithersburg High School on Sunday morning.
Police said Addie Marie Brown, 76, wandered away from her family's home in Gaithersburg on Saturday at 11 p.m.
Brown was found at 10 a.m. near a walking path behind the high school. She was transported to an area hospital where she is being treated for exposure and hypothermia.
Police said Brown suffers from Alzheimer's disease.
