PORT DEPOSIT, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police say that the driver of a fuel tanker was killed when the vehicle overturned and burst into flames in Port Deposit.

State police Sgt. J. Comer of the North East Barrack said the accident occurred around 9:15 p.m. Friday on Route 222 at Main Street in Port Deposit. Jones said no other vehicles were involved and he was not aware of any other damage.

The tanker was carrying propane. The name of the driver was not immediately available.

Emergency crews were on the scene.

Port Deposit is located in Cecil County, on the north side of the Susquehanna River.
