Bomb squads are investigating a suspicious package at the D.C. mail processing facility in Northeast Washington where a package ignited last week.
District authorities would not say whether this package, found around 1 p.m. at the facility at 3370 V Street NE, is related to the other package.
D.C. police have cordoned off the area, and there have been no reports of fires or injuries, D.C. fire spokesman Pete Piringer said.
A spokesman for the FBI Baltimore field office says investigators are looking into whether the package is linked to the ones sent last week which ignited at government buildings around the Maryland state capitol.
