Prince George's County Police identified the man killed in an apartment complex in Forest Heights Wednesday night.

Police said Terrance Calvin Hunter, 30, was the sixth of seven homicide victims in the county this year. At this time last year, the county had two homicides.

Police responded to the 1300 block of Southview Drive Wednesday around 9 p.m. after receiving a call reporting an assault.  They found Hunter in a stairwell of the apartment complex with trauma to his body. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said detectives believe that the killing may be drug related, but have not identified a suspect or motive.

Newly elected County Executive Rushern Baker says he confident the police chief is doing everything he can to solve the murders.
