Mexican-born and raised in Brazil, Itie spent hours mingling and chatting up dignitaries including Rep. Joe Baca, D-Calif., and Rep. Charlie Gonzalez, D-Texas, the newly elected chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
