After three days of grueling testimony in front of those sassy senators on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Elena Kagan did what the rest of us would do: She went out to dinner and ordered a steak.

President Obama's Supreme Court pick was spotted dining with two other women Wednesday night at Washington favorite Equinox.

"She was absolutely lovely," our source says. "They were seated in a discrete table and they lingered over their meal and just seemed to be enjoying everything sans the politicians."

Since being nominated to the high court, we've caught Kagan out dining at Poste Moderne Brasserie and Ris. This time she chose Equinox, which re-opened in June after being damaged by a December 2009 fire. In January 2009, Barack and Michelle Obama made the downtown restaurant their first-date night stop, eating there for the first lady's birthday.
