30 Rock’s Grizz Chapman and Washington Redskins linebacker Lorenzo Alexander were spotted having a late lunch at Penn Quarter’s Italian restaurant Carmine’s on Saturday afternoon. Chapman, who plays “Grizz Griswold” on the NBC hit show had a kidney transplant in July 2010 and serves as the spokesperson for The National Kidney Foundation. We’re told he was in town for an appearance at the NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo at the Washington Convention Center. A Yeas & Nays spy tells us the the actor, his manager and Alexander were with family and enjoyed the Carmine’s salad, calamari, lasagna and chicken parmesan.
Earlier on Friday night, a Yeas & Nays spotted the former D.C. Public Schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee having dinner with a group of folks at Founding Farmers restaurant on Pennsylvania Avenue.
And on Sunday evening, Washington Nationals’ Ryan Zimmerman joined pals at Georgetown’s J Paul’s for the football games. A Yeas & Nays source tells us the third baseman looked pretty stoic.
