A man was shot and killed in Seat Pleasant Thursday, the seventh homicide in six days in Prince George's County.

Police responded to a shooting in the 900 block of Central Hills Lane around 11:45 p.m. Thursday to find an adult male dead of a gun shot wound.

Police apprehended a possible suspect and recovered a weapon nearby. 

Preliminary investigation indicates that the killing was during a dispute between two men.

Police said it was too early to tell if this shooting was related to the other slayings, but noted that that this one occurred in a different police district. This killing happened in the District 3, the central part of the county, while the other slayings occurred in the southern portion of Prince George's County.

Last year at this time there were two slayings in the county.
