Even after their deaths, new mysteries surrounding Brittany Murphy and husband Simon Monjack continue to surface. The latest suspicious revelation: The film producer may have depleted his actress wife’s savings in the five months between her death and his, leaving her mother in dire financial straits.

“There were huge amounts of money in [Brittany’s] pension plan and bank account, and all of that’s gone,” the “Clueless” star’s financial adviser told People magazine. “I would see it on the statements. There was money being withdrawn by Simon, hundreds of thousands.”

Moreover, Brittany’s mother, Sharon, who had shared a home with the couple and continued to live there with Simon after her daughter’s death, was reportedly given the boot by Simon’s mother, Linda.

“Linda started acting like everything belongs to her,” an assistant of the financial adviser said. “Before Sharon could say anything, Linda stated the house was now hers.”

Linda denied the tale, saying, “If there is money missing, I have no idea where it is. He didn’t get much, maybe a few hundred dollars, and he paid off his debts with it. He was spending his time crying his eyes out most of the time. He was in a terrible state.”

We may never really know what was going on inside this household — before or after Brittany died.

Bloom’s Baby

A week after Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr clandestinely tied the knot, a report confirmed the rumored reason for their quickie wedding: They’re having a baby!

“She’s definitely pregnant. Miranda’s thrilled,” an insider said. “She’s telling all her friends, mostly other models, about it.”
Although the private couple isn’t likely to make an official announcement, the Victoria’s Secret bombshell will have one way of telling the world her secret.

“She poses in lingerie,” the insider said. “It will be obvious soon enough.”

Well, if this is true, congrats to the newlyweds. I think we can all agree that this is going to be one gorgeous baby.

Silent Treatment

Once again, the behind-the-scenes drama on the “Gossip Girl” set threatens to eclipse the plot lines we see on-screen. Since Ed Westwick allegedly dumped Jessica Szohr over allegations she cheated — or at least flirted with another guy — things have been exceedingly chilly between them, the New York Post reported.

“Jessica still misses Ed and wants him back,” a source said. “However, he is heartbroken and wants nothing to do with her.”
And his attitude is affecting their fellow “Gossip” actors: “Ed has really alienated Jessica from the rest of the cast,” an insider said.

“Ed doesn’t want to be around her. He’s still very hurt,” another source said.

This is why workplace romances are a bad idea.

Rachel Leaves “Rehab”

Just days into taping, Rachel Uchitel walked out on “Celebrity Rehab” because she couldn’t hack it. The infamous “mistress No. 1” whose name was first to emerge in the Tiger Woods scandal bolted from the facility where she’s reportedly receiving treatment from Dr. Drew Pinsky’s team for pill addiction.

"After a very intense day of filming, Rachel just couldn't handle being at the Pasadena Recovery Center where ‘Celebrity Rehab’ is filmed, and she decided to leave,” a source said.

But don’t worry, you’ll still get your chance to see her on season four of VH1’s train-wreck-fest.
