Another celebrity couple has managed to surprise us with a quickie wedding. But, did Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom tie the knot so hastily because she’s expecting?
When the supermodel and the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star wed in — you guessed it — the Caribbean, just a month after announcing their engagement, tongues started wagging. Asked about pregnancy buzz, Miranda’s rep told Australia’s Sydney Morning Herald, “I am sorry, but I am unable to make a comment.”
Not exactly a denial, eh?
But even if they did rush down the aisle due to a pregnancy, it sounds like their love is the real thing.
“We have never seen Miranda healthier and happier than she is right now,” Miranda’s mom, Therese Kerr, gushed to People magazine. “They truly are a gorgeous couple, are very much in love and bring out the best in each other.”
Dream scheme
Things are getting messy in the split between Christina Milian and The-Dream. The singer is seeking to have divorce papers her estranged hubby filed in February thrown out of court, TMZ reported.
In the papers, filed merely days before she gave birth to the couple’s daughter, Violet, the producer claimed the marriage was “irretrievably broken.” But, Christina said they had “marital relations on numerous occasions” after the papers were filed, and that it was his infidelity that ultimately caused the split.
Christina said a settlement she and The-Dream signed, in which they agree not to seek alimony or each other’s property, isn’t valid because he presented her with them at her bedside while she was nine months pregnant.
Jessica: Used?
Is Jessica Simpson’s boyfriend using her for money? The singer has struck up a whirlwind romance with former 49ers tight end Eric Johnson and, according to Star magazine, friends fear he cares more about her lavish lifestyle than being with her.
“Jessica is so starved for love, she just doesn’t see any of Eric’s faults,” a source told the tabloid.
To wit: The now-unemployed football player is crashing at her mansion and enjoyed a jaunt to Italy for her 30th birthday, staying at a $3,000-a-night suite, relaxing on a $5,000-a-day yacht and dining at fine restaurants.
Unpopular Lindsay
Lindsay Lohan isn’t the only one relieved that her prison sentence will likely be cut short. Though authorities maintain she’s not receiving special treatment at Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, multiple reports claim fellow inmates are fed up with their high-profile neighbor.
“She’s not treated like if it was anyone else going to jail,” a woman who has visited a family member at the prison told People magazine. “Like, if they even want to bring her new clothes or bring her anything, they put the whole facility on lockdown. It happens all the time.”
