VIDEO TEXT: “Ball Office Products” PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: “I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there.” VIDEO TEXT: “Melissa Ball, Owner” PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: “It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something.” PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: “If you’ve got a business—you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” MELISSA BALL: “My initial response was one of being insulted for not just myself, but really for our entire team. For a guy who gets up at four o’clock in the morning and drives a truck all day long, in 104 degree weather, and works until six o’clock at night. He built this business as much as I did. The comments that the President’s plan has worked, I haven’t seen it work. I’ve seen customers and companies go out of business. I’ve seen friends lose jobs. It certainly doesn’t feel like it’s working. We need a president who understands business. Who understands what it means to make payroll. Who understands what it means to grow a business and to be successful. I’m proud that we’re still here. I’m proud that we have a team of people who are really successful. Despite the tough economic times we’re experiencing, we built this business.” VIDEO TEXT: “In Virginia” VIDEO TEXT: “We Built It.”
