Metro is suing its insurance firm after facing more fees in the wake of the deadly 2009 Fort Totten crash, according to a story in Wednesday’s Washington Post.
The transit agency accuses Aon Risk Services of the equivalent of malpractice, according to the story. Metro said Aon gave the agency additional liability after the 2009 Red Line crash killed nine people and injured dozens more. Families of the victims are suing the agency for millions of dollars.
Aon called the complaint "meritless."
