"This is one of those moments that — as a nation and as a people — we have to ask ourselves, 'Who are we? Are we really going to tolerate this inhumanity?'" asked Rep. Martha Roby, R-Ala., tearing up on the House floor Tuesday. "Are we going to look the other way while babies are brutally killed and organs harvested for profit?'"
Roby stood next to an enlarged screen shot of a part of the now-viral undercover video where a Planned Parenthood executive discusses how to harvest and sell fetal organs after an abortion.
"The casual and callous way [the Planned Parenthood executive] details how babies can be killed in such a way that their tiny hearts, lungs and livers can be taken and sold for profit is simply horrifying," said Roby.

The video, released by pro-life group Center for Medical Progress, shows Planned Parenthood's Senior Director of Medical Services Dr. Deborah Nucatola eating a salad and sipping a glass of wine while casually saying that she charges $30-$100 per fetal specimen, and that fetal livers are in high demand — although "a lot of people want intact hearts these days," and she has had requests for lungs and "lower extremities."
"You know, we've been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I'm not going to crush that part, I'm going to basically crush below, I'm going to crush above, and I'm going to see if I can get it all intact," she says, describing how she alters the abortion procedure to best harvest whatever organs are in demand.
"These aren't specimens! These are babies for goodness sake!" she exclaimed, her voice breaking.
"I may only have one minute today, but I promise we are not finished talking about this," Roby said.
