BELTSVILLE, Md. (AP) — The Washington Redskins will hold a moment of silence before their game against the Indianapolis Colts to honor a Prince George's County police officer killed while pursuing a vehicle.
Police officer Adrian Morris died Monday in a crash that happened on southbound I-95 near the Powder Mill Road exit. Two officers were pursuing a vehicle that matched the description of a car involved in a theft. Police say the driver lost control of the police cruiser and it ran off the highway into a ditch.
Flags in Maryland are also flying at half-staff in honor of the 23-year-old Morris. They'll be flown at half-staff until sunset on Aug. 28.
