The hubris of Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the Democratic Party knows no bounds today. After crashing the Republican National Committee (RNC) in Tampa this afternoon, Wasserman Schultz made an appearance on Hardball with Chris Matthews to give her take on the current state of the Presidential election. During the appearance, Schultz had this to say about Obama's odds of getting reelected:

"We have systematically and steadily been running and setting up the most significant grassroots presidential campaign in history, and we'll carry the President to the White House on the shoulders of the people of this country."

Talk about over-confidence.

While Obama may get reelected to office in November, to say he's so popular that not only will he win the election, he'll be carried in on the shoulders of the American people is a little much.

A recent Washington Post-ABC News poll has Romney and Obama virtually tied at 47 percent and 46 percent respectively.

The only thing the American people will be carrying on their shoulders if Obama gets reelected is more than $16 trillion of debt.
