[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aO9tA5DWJM]“Why be a taxpayer when I can be a tax spender?” asks a new YouTube video produced by the Crony Chronicles.

The ad titled “I Want to Be a Crony” features a group of children asking typical child questions like, “What do I want to do when I grow up?” but with a twist. It has already gotten over 60,000 hits.

“Our children used to have big dreams,” the opening title card reads.

The children start out talking about how they want to grow up and take on the sorts of professions that most American children talk about with parents and other adults like being doctors or architects or just working hard.

But it takes a darker turn mocking the lessons the Obama administration is teaching America’s children in the age of Solyndra.

“I want to work for the government and break the system,” a little girl says before her friends launch into a litany of alphabet-soup government agencies like the IRS and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that they say they want to work for.

The kids mock politicians who change the rules to suit their lobbyist friends, saying they want to go to Capitol Hill to change the rules.

“I want to work on Capitol Hill to work on a committee and put whatever my friends want into legislation,” a girl says.

And yet another says she’s going to fight for her “share of the taxpayer pie” when she grows up.

The children then describe their desire to be “a crony” when they grow up.

“What’s a crony?” a girl asks. “It’s like having a friend who gives you other people’s stuff,” a boy answers.

The kids continue by bragging about how they will get to not have to work and not have to play by the rules if they grow up to be a crony.

“We get to spend taxpayer money any way we want,” one of the girls in the video says.
