On Friday hundreds of conservative activists gathered on Capitol Hill for a rally to repeal Obamacare organized by Americans For Prosperity (AFP).
The rally coincided with the AFP Foundation’s Defending the American Dream Summit in Washington, D.C., which thousands of conservatives are attending this weekend to show their support for limited government principles and participate in grassroots trainings.
The "Hand Off my Health Care" rally was energized with well-known conservative speakers. Fox News commentator and longtime pollster Dick Morris, Jim Martin of the 60 Plus Association, Penny Nance from Concerned Women for America and AFP President Tim Phillips all spoke out against the healthcare law.
“[T]he only way you can do it is by dumbing down the quality of medical care until it is so low that its not recognizable anymore, for anybody, for any amount of money, in any situation, and that’s not acceptable in the United States," Morris told rally-goers.
