The Fourth of July holiday was almost a month ago, but the cliché captions about freedom haven't faded from memory as quickly. Americans are quick to to tout "freedom <3" as a reason they are so #blessed to be an American, but do they even know the most basic rights that give them that freedom?
In their latest video, the Media Research Center stopped people coming out of the National Archives building in Washington, D.C. to ask them a simple question: Can you name the rights that are protected by the First Amendment?
In what is perhaps not a shocking revelation, most Americans can't name their first amendment rights -- even the ones interviewed after coming out of the building that holds the original copy of the Bill of Rights.
