Actor Rob Lowe criticized singer Ariana Grande after her semi-apology for being caught on tape saying, "I hate America."
Lowe, who frequently takes a conservative stance, took to Twitter and called her explanation #lame.
As my grandpa would say: "Yeah, sure. Pull the other leg, it plays jingle bells!" #Lame https://t.co/4rnj6e4ZYa

Gossip website TMZ posted a video Wednesday of Grande, accompanied by one of her backup dancers, licking donuts on a display while the worker is in the back preparing a fresh batch.
After being caught when the worker brings out more donuts, Grande launched into a very unpatriotic tirade.
“What the f–k is that?” she said. “I hate Americans. I hate America.”
Grande apologized for the comment in a statement later that day and said it was supposed to be commentary on obesity.
Grande is under investigation by police for licking the donuts, the Associated Press reported.
