There’s already marijuana vending machines and an app that delivers alcohol to your door—so really, this was just a matter of time. The “Uber of weed” has arrived.
A new medical marijuana-delivery app, Eaze, has launched in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, and the Bay Area. It promises medical weed that you can order in “seconds,” “delivered in minutes.”
And if you don't already have a medical marijuana card, you can get a recommendation from a doctor without ever getting out of your PJs. EazeMD allows you to videoconference with a licensed physician and discuss your medical needs. They'll then issue you a card electronically and send you on your way.
Forbes writer Ryan Mac gave the whole process a trial run, dubbing it "surreal."
"Within an hour I used Eaze to video conference with a doctor, receive a marijuana recommendation and purchase an eighth of an ounce of “Sour Diesel” for delivery," he wrote. "The cannabis arrived shortly after the sausage and pepperoni pizza I had ordered to accompany it."
“It’s about providing quick and professional access to medicine everywhere,” Eaze Founder and CEO Keith McCarty told NBC 7.
Oh, and Snoop Dogg is an investor. Of course.
