Having beaten odds of 1 in 2.6 trillion, Peter McCathie might just be the luckiest man alive.

He was struck by lightning and survived. He won the lottery, and his daughter was also struck by lightning. It doesn't happen to anyone except cartoon characters.

According to ABC News, he'll be splitting his $1 million lottery winnings with co-worker Diana Miller. He's also getting an extra $10,000 because he owns the Amherst Shore Country Store in Nova Scotia where the ticket was purchased.

McCathie told CTV that he'll be using the winnings to take his wife on a second honeymoon.

In reference to winning the lottery, he told CTV, "I honestly expected to get hit by lightning again first."
