At a national conference this week for a liberal activist group, attendees are asked not make assumptions about other attendees' genders and are kindly reminded to not rape any of their fellow attendees.

The Netroots Nation conference kicks off Thursday in Phoenix, Arizona, to gather together like-minded liberal and Democratic activists.

The website describes the purpose of the conference as to "strengthen the community, inspire action and serve as an incubator for ideas that challenge the status quo and ultimately affect change in the public sphere."

Apparently strengthening the community and inspiring action is so taxing that attendees need to be reminded of common sense and how to interact with their progressive peers.

“We want our attendees to have a great time, but please remember that sexual consent is always essential,” the program reminds attendees in the "Safe Space Policy" section.

Along with kindly asking conference goers to not rape others, the program includes a thoughtful section on "Transgender Etiquette" just in case one should encounter someone they don't know how to address.

"Do not assume anyone's gender, a person's external appearance may not match their internal gender identity," it reads.

Only the most essential information for these progressives.
