In final 'Daily Show' appearance, Obama claims government works 'better now than it probably ever has'

Obama has declared another executive order: “Jon Stewart cannot leave the show,” he proclaimed, during his final appearance on the Daily Show.

“It’s being challenged in the courts."

Obama will no doubt be sad to see one of his number 1 fans leave the media—as a parting gift, he gave him a lengthy interview on the Iran deal, his last days in the presidency, and his problems with the media.

“Government works better now than it probably ever has given what we ask it to do," he claimed at one point.

“Here’s the thing I can say, Jon. I can say this unequivocally: The VA is better now than when I came into office. Government works better than when I came into office…And so, the reason I can sleep at night is I can say to myself, ‘You know what? It’s better.’”

Obama also managed to work in some shots at Donald Trump.

"I'm sure the Republicans are enjoying Mr. Trump's dominance of their primary," he remarked.
