Hell hath no fury like Donald Trump publicly criticized.

Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R)  appeared as a guest on This Week Sunday morning, where he responded to Trump's comments on immigrants from Mexico as well as the billionaires criticism of his tenure as governor.

The Texas governor said Trump's comments were "offensive" and said that the entrepreneur didn't understand the conditions on the border.

“I don’t think he understands the challenge. My bet is Mr. Trump doesn’t know,” Perry said referring to the measures he took last summer following the surge in immigrants across the border.

“Donald Trump does not represent the Republican party,” he continued. “I was offended by his remarks. Hispanics in America, and Hispanics in Texas, from the Alamo to Afghanistan, have been extraordinary people, they have served nobly. To paint with that broad a brush — he’s going to have to defend those remarks. I never will.”

These comments did not sit well with Trump, who slammed the former governor on Twitter, saying that Perry needs a new pair of glasses to see all the crime being committed by illegal aliens.
