Attorney General Loretta Lynch said Wednesday that the Justice Department will review the two videos created by The Center for Medical Progress that exposed Planned Parenthood officials discussing the sale of fetal organs.

“I’m aware of those matters generally from the media, and from some inquiries that have been made to the Department of Justice, and again at this point we’re going to review all the information and determine what steps, if any, to take at the appropriate time,” Lynch said at a press conference.

The Hill reported that Republicans in Congress called on the DOJ to investigate if Planned Parenthood violated any laws in the videos. Nearly a dozen Republicans sent a letter to the DOJ on Wednesday requesting an investigation to see if the abortion provider profited from the sale of fetal organs.

So far two Republican-led committees in the House have launched an investigation into Planned Parenthood because of the information on the videos.

Planned Parenthood has claimed it did nothing illegal, using the excuse that the videos were heavily edited.

Democrats are siding with the abortion provider and on Wednesday called upon the DOJ to investigate CMP to see if they violated any consent laws in the process of making of those undercover videos.
