Comedian and actor Aziz Ansari appeared on PBS NewsHour Friday, amid news of the Confederate flag officially coming down from South Carolina's Statehouse where it had flown for half a century.

Ansari, a South Carolina native, had an interesting perspective on the controversy.

"I think they ought to replace the flag with something that shows how far South Carolina has come," he said.

Ansari offered his scandalous suggestion for a replacement flag on the show.

“My idea for the flag would be… a beautiful couple. It would be a handsome black man having sex with a beautiful white woman. They are so in love and they are having sex on the flag. And it says: ‘South Carolina: We’re Not F--king Racist.'”

Somehow we don't think we'll ever see this flag come to fruition.
