TYRONE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — A woman says a contractor for a pipeline company cleared about 50 large trees on her 22-acre property in Livingston County without permission.

Debora Hense tells the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus of Howell that she didn't agree to Enbridge Energy's requested additional 25 feet of permanent easement on her property for a 50-mile pipeline replacement project from Stockbridge in Ingham County to Ortonville in Oakland County.

Hense's property has an existing 1969 easement agreement with Enbridge. She tells the Detroit Free Press she called 911 on Wednesday during the work, which has stopped for now.

Enbridge spokesman Joe Martucci says the company has easement rights on the property dating back to 1969. He tells MLive.com it has the right to install another pipeline easement.
