A plurality of Americans believe that the media is biased in favor of trying to elect Hillary Clinton president, according to a new Morning Consult survey.
One-third of voters surveyed said the media did a poor job of treating each candidate fairly and 38 percent of those surveyed said they believed the media was biased in favor of trying to help elect Clinton. Approximately 12 percent of voters surveyed thought the media was biased in favor of Trump, while 27 percent of voters thought the media was fair and unbiased, and 23 percent of respondents said they didn't know.
The polling indicates that voters seem to share Trump's belief that the media is biased in favor of his Democratic opponent. Trump has often harped on the media and labeled reporters the "lowest form of life." His persistent criticism of the press has drawn criticism from some of his allies on the right, including Rush Limbaugh who said earlier this week that blaming the media earlier "doesn't work" for presidential candidates.
Trump continued to blast the "failing" New York Times on Twitter on Friday, but also tweeted a message thanking the pundits who said nice things about him.
