Over 28,000 Amazon users and 11,000 users of Amazon Web Services reported outages on Tuesday morning.

Almost 800 issues were reported by about 10:30, with over 28,000 users having trouble by around noon. By 12:30 p.m., almost 11,000 users had reported issues with the website. Users of AWS also experienced problems, with over 11,000 issues reported with the site at 11:14 a.m., according to Downdetector.

AWS works as a subsidiary of Amazon that provides cloud computing platforms for other companies and entities. These include the Amazon Alexa virtual assistant, Kindle e-books, and Amazon Music, as well as streaming services such as Disney+ and apps such as the Cash App and Venmo, according to the Verge.

The problems seemed to be focused on the AWS region in Virginia, making it likely that the worst those outside the state will experience is slower loading times. Amazon said the company is “actively working towards recovery.”
