President Trump on Monday warned the 7,000-person migrant caravan to turn back and said it would be met by the U.S. military if it tried to cross into the U.S.
“Many Gang Members and some very bad people are mixed into the Caravan heading to our Southern Border. Please go back, you will not be admitted into the United States unless you go through the legal process,” Trump said on Twitter Monday morning. “This is an invasion of our Country and our Military is waiting for you!”

The Pentagon is expected to deploy 5,000 troops to the U.S.-Mexican border in anticipation of the caravan’s arrival as soon as this week.
Last week, the Trump administration requested the Department of Defense send down 800 troops to assist law enforcement at the border as the caravan comes to the border with “some very bad people.”
The U.S. and Mexico reached an agreement earlier this month that was meant to stop the caravan from progressing through Mexico. The efforts were unsuccessful as the migrants tore down the border fences between Guatemala and Mexico and charged into Mexico to continue its trek north.
